Cybil Lake is an award-winning actor and writer with extensive film and TV experience. Central Park Dark, a feature that she wrote, directed, and played the lead along with Tom Sizemore (Saving Private Ryan, Heat) is distributed by High Octane Pictures on Amazon, Itunes, Youtube, and internationally. She had over 60 press interviews for the film including National Fox News Network and NBC's In the Mix. The film was chosen for the Official Selection of New Filmmakers NY Festival. Her acting credits include: The Black List with James Spader on NBC, The Following with Kevin Bacon on Fox, Girls on HBO, Show Me a Hero directed by Academy Award Winner Paul Haggis for HBO, and a dozen independent films. Cybil has written eight features, directed two, and made a dozen shorts. Her work has screened at Cannes Film Festival and New York’s Anthology Film Center. She was selected by NBC for their New Filmmaker’s Program. She’s a graduate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts, a four-year Meisner Training at The Ward Studio, Lee Strasberg Training, Theatre with Alice Spivak, and more. Recently for the short Malibu of Mother of Two, she won Best Actress at the Los Angeles Independent Shorts Award 2024. Her scripts and films have been awarded at many festivals and competitions. A few years ago, Cybil moved to Los Angeles after years in New York and is enjoying the sunshine with her husband and two boys.
